Jake Posey provides government relations, business, and insurance law assistance to clients as an attorney at the Posey Law Firm, PC, in Austin, Texas. Over the course of his career he has earned recognition from a number of sources, including being selected to Texas Super Lawyers – Rising Stars seven years in a row. Outside of his work as an attorney, Jake Posey enjoys coastal fishing.

Given the size of Texas, fishing enthusiasts can find plenty of top fishing options. The Texas Coast offers world-class saltwater fishing year-round. For the nearshore fisherman there are 1000’s of square miles of shallow bays and hundreds of miles of Gulf beach. For the offshore fisherman, the Texas Coast provides easy access to the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

In addition to coastal fishing, Texas also offers some fantastic freshwater opportunities as well. One of Jake Posey’s favorite spot is fly fishing on the Guadalupe River. Just a short drive from Austin, Guadalupe River gets a healthy stock of rainbow trout from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department every winter. Since most of the trout won’t survive the warmer temperatures after spring, fishers are encouraged to catch what they can. The area’s forested valleys and hills also add to the experience.
