Attorney Jake Posey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor from the Texas A&M University School of Law. In law school, he distinguished himself academically by making the Dean’s List and gaining induction into the Texas Wesleyan Order of Barristers. Jake Posey was also a member of the law school’s mock trial team and served as a student attorney at the law clinic in his final year.
After graduating in 2003, Mr. Posey worked on the legislative staff at the Texas House of Representatives in Austin. This experience gave him the opportunity to observe the process of crafting and passing legislation within state government. It also presented him with the opportunity to establish a network of Texas government contacts on which he continues to draw today.
Having left the Texas House in 2006, Mr. Posey founded The Posey Law Firm, PC. Mr. Posey currently serves the latter as an attorney and counselor. In this position, he leads a firm that offers a full range of legal and government relations services, leveraging over a decade of experience practicing law and drawing a deep knowledge of the workings of the Texas legislature. Since entering private practice, Mr. Posey has been named among Texas Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” for six consecutive years between 2008 and 2014.
